We enjoy hiking in the park. Nice trails. The rangers are friendly and helpful. We took our new dog the last time we were there and he joined the area as well.

Nice little state park. Can have big party at the recreation building on top of a hill, over looking the 9 hole golf course. Facilities are better than none.

We enjoyed a short hike along a small creek on Memorial Day. Was not crowded at all and very peaceful. There is a golf course and swimming pool though we didn't see anyone at either. Very nice destination before stopping for BBQ in Lockhart.

Small fee to get in. Super cheap golf, they are redoing the greens. Decent easy to moderate hiking. Fishing is very small areas, but pretty, all I saw being caught was small mouth bass 1lb or less. Lots of hanging caterpillars so check each other that you don't take home a new friend! 🤣 …

One of my favorite state parts because of the small trails under the trees. I lost my credit card on the trail and two ladies found it and called the park ranger Jennifer. Jennifer looked up my phone number, as I am a state park member and let me know immediately. Jennifer is definitely a class act, and I appreciate the ladies who found my card.
